This page will demonstrate one of coolest features of AGiSS GradeBook Software, Virtual GradeBook!
This feature will allow educators using AGiSS Software, to make their gradebooks available to students via a web browser.
Students can check their grades at any time, by simply loading up a web browser and entering their login information. AGiSS Virtual GradeBook will then generate a virtual gradebook web page, only for the specified student. No public information about the student is displayed, just the specified student's ID # as entered, current grades, assignment scores, and a student progress graph.
All information is generated on the fly, making it secure and up-to-date!
The AGiSS Virtual GradeBook works by running scripts from a web browser, which parses virtual grade book data files on a WWW server. The data files are generated by WinGrade, and there is no programming or manual processing to enable this feature. Simply click a few mouse buttons, and enter some server information and you're ready to go.
The new data files need to be copied to the WWW server, and the Virtual GradeBook is ready for the very next student who wants to check on their grade!
Through WinGrade you can completely automate the Virtual GradeBook data file update process by telling WinGrade to generate these new data files whenever the corresponding Class Folder file is saved. Then you can schedule a process to copy these data files from your location to the WWW server, or if you have direct access to the server path, you can instruct WinGrade to generate the files there.

To see this new feature in action, use the information below for the sample class screen shot as it appears on the AGiSS Software home page. You can enter any of the student ID #s that are listed in the screen shot.

information (all information is configurable via AGiSS Software, including passwords and student ids):
