How do I configure WinGrade for on-line grade access (WebJavaGrade)?
To use the agiss.net web server to host your grade files you first need to contact AGiSS to setup an account. Once your account is created you can then use the WebJavaGrade synchronization feature to easily transfer your grade book and lesson plan files to the website, directly from WinGrade. Follow the steps below.
1) Select "Options" menu
2) Select the "WebJavaGrade Integration" popup-menu
3) Select "WJG Syncrhonization" popup-menu
4) In the WebJavaGrade Synchronization window you need to set the following fields:
- WJG Server: www.agiss.net
- Script Path: cgi-bin/wjg/wjgsync.cgi
- UserName: account name supplied by agiss support goes here
- Password: password supplied by agiss support goes here
5) Now that you have the server and account information entered, you need to specify the files you want to synchronize with the WJG server. To do this select the Add Files... button and select the grade book files (*.WGC) and the lesson plan files (*.ALP) that you want to be copied to the web server.
6) After you have added the files to be synchronized, you can then select the Synchronize button to sync the files between your computer and the WJG server
Now that your files are synchronized you or your students can view the files at any time from a web browser.
You can use the Web Pages: drop down list to select a web page to view, and then select the Show Web Page button to launch a browser to view that specific web page.
For your students, you can tell them to go to the following URL's to view the grades and lesson plans respectively:
http://www.agiss.net/cgi-bin/wjg/wjgjspviewer.cgi
http://www.agiss.net/cgi-bin/wjg/wlpjspviewer.cgi
